What is “demographic destiny?”
Demographic destiny as it pertains to modern political science is the idea that demographic trends shift the direction of sociopolitical attitudes. It is commonly associated with 19th-century French philosopher Auguste Comte and is the current primary election strategy of the Democratic Party.
You’ve probably never heard of it. During the election, the GOP was counting on keeping it known only when beneficial and continuing to seek new ways to pry into your psyche and manipulate you – usually through fear and hatred, but always through communal narcissism – to vote against your best interests.
In essence: “The libs are racist for giving handouts to racial minority immigrants and taking their votes for granted.” It’s something you only tell the bigots and the true party faithful for fear of alienating moderates.

I don’t know about that fez, though. That’s some kind of Fezistani, right?
There’s a lot to unpack here… like the entire statement.
First, the Trump administration is expelling those people for the crime of crossing an imaginary line (or more likely overstaying a visa) while simultaneously inviting white South African refugees with open arms and full benefits. Second, undocumented immigrants can’t vote no matter how many times the GOP tries to convince us otherwise. There’s simply no evidence of such widespread voter fraud.
But third: as bad as the GOP is, let’s be clear: a political party creating Stockholm Syndrome in its constituents who are eligible to vote is indeed racist.
As for the rest of us, demographic destiny is the foundation of the Dems’ political cowardice in the face of authoritarianism: the idea that if they can survive long enough, their constituents – a plurality of whom are members of minority groups who have been trained through identitarianism to vote for more state socialism – will carry them to perpetual power.
As explained by Mars Attacks’ General Casey:
“Hello? This is General Casey. I get to meet the Martian Ambassador! Ain’t that great? Oh, it’s a hell of an honor. But didn’t I always tell you, honey, if I just stayed in place and never spoke up, good things are bound to happen.”
Poor General Casey. The Black guy always dies first.

What is “demographic dissociation?”
I coined the term “demographic dissociation” to refer to the growing divergence within ethnic and identity groups in individual sociopolitical attitudes, behaviors, and affiliations, often driven by aspects of personal identity that no longer intersect with more monolithic cultural identities in ways they have in the past.
Politically this manifests as polarized voting patterns, cultural values, or policy preferences that no longer align with assumptions about demographic identities, increasing individualism and changing the conditions of shared social cohesion.

Many in this film died before ol’ Stephen, but the weaponization of his relative privilege against his own ilk meant he deserved to go down with the ship right alongside Calvin “Hwite Cake” Candy.
In the days immediately following the 2024 election the shock was palpable for many analysts and pundits who assumed that gains in new Dem registrations and high overall turnout would put them over the top.
Despite being one of the pundits who got it wrong, I was neither shocked nor palpitated. I realized almost immediately what happened. Here in New Hampshire, the GOP ran no ground game to be found even when searching. They were less about delivering free yard signs than they were about making their voters acquire them themselves at a cost.
Because Trump is a marketing guy, so are his worshippers, amirite?

What is “psychographics?”
Psychographics is the collection and analysis of marketing data that is based on individual behaviors, preferences, interests, and attitudes and used to identify and deliver targeted messaging.
“How could Black people vote for him?”
“How could Latinos vote for him?”
Even “how could LGBT people vote for him?”
Easy. It’s because most people are no longer one-issue voters. Or even one-party voters. Or certainly even educated or skeptical voters. And of course, Americans are the most propagandized people in the world and thus most of us either support our failing institutions or have abandoned them altogether, dividing the population even further than the powers that be intend. That’s demographic dissociation.
In a June 2024 Gallup Poll, 51% of U.S. adults identified as independents, the highest figure recorded in the survey. Voter education and critical thinking – hallmarks of libertarian principle – are in short supply. We are fragmented. Many have become more xenophobic.

Don’t make me tap the sign.
This marks a unique and historic opportunity for the Libertarian Party to seize on the division of the electorate perpetrated by the Blue and Red teams to conquer… or at least spoil future elections… and attempt to reunite the People under the banners of removing government from our lives and prioritizing consent and mutual aid.
Using psychographics is how we reach these people. MAGA didn’t just google “Trump supporters.” They developed profiles of potential Trump voters. Sports, podcasts, consumer preferences and more can all be leveraged to find the voters that match the values – and even the psychology – of the campaign.
The most successfully targeted voter bloc was young men. Traditionally underrepresented in election results, all the GOP had to do was stoke the so-called incels to come out to fire the next shot in a gender war that also sees trans people scapegoated in avoidance of truly serious gender relations and equality issues.
Oh, you’re anti-choice? MAGA.
You hate the Chinese and think they pay the tariffs? Based MAGA.
You listen to Joe Rogan? Irresponsibly MAGA.
You’re an edgelord memer? One of us!
Oh, we should abolish the 19th Amendment? You guessed it.
